Our studio was born out of a desire to support artists from Fairbanks and Interior Alaska, and ever since then, that’s exactly what we’ve been doing. Our community has grown to include local artists and students from all walks of life. The interactions and exchange of creativity between students and instructors helps to sculpt and mold them into the creative individuals that they are today. Fairbanks watercolor artist and world-renowned ice carver, Vladimir Zhikhartsev has been teaching art for decades and wanted to provide a space for artists to take the first steps into art or expand their skills in an inclusive and warm atmosphere. He founded the art school in 2001 in his home studio in Fairbanks, Alaska. Vladimir work extremely hard to help cultivate the inner artist in all our students and guests offering workshops and classes to inspire and enhance everyone’s creative spark and spirit.
